Rare Babymetal appearance
The rare appearance of Babymetal, the Japanese cute-metal sensations, is what brought me to Albuquerque for this concert. Albuquerque was where Babymetal would be playing with DC Young Fly and Stone Sour, marking the farthest east they would perform. Many guests at the nearby resort had traveled great distances to see Su, Yui, and Moa metal, alongside the Kami band. I was surprised to see other opening acts with Babymetal on the bill. Babymetal delivered a great performance, being on stage for about 30 minutes with no encore, performing the same set as when they special guested for the Chili Peppers in Little Rock. A security person at Isleta Amphitheater informed me the next day that a large number of people left after Babymetal's set. Stone Sour and DC Young Fly showcased heartfelt sincerity and gave a fine show to their fans. DC Young Fly impressed with their great drummer, and their passionate fans happily sang and jammed along. As a metal fan, I enjoy a few of DC Young Fly's songs, although they didn't play my favorite, "Twisted Transistor", they did perform their most popular songs.
